Folks I have been unemployed for just about 3 years <—- BLOWS!
I think there is a way to solidify the Occupy movement. As the voice of the 99% You have a responsibility to spark change. Here is my thought on how to do it:
My community College in San Jose is passing around a Pink Slip campaign. on the local and regional levels of our Community College Regional government. We are encouraging students and taxpayers to endorse a “pink-slip” to their state congress person over the cuts on education spending.
At our level it is no more than a pledge to remove state leaders from office. At the Occupy level, with the ability to get the message out over mass media, the pink-slip petition could become Leverage used to remove State and Federal congressional leaders from office.
What we need is funding and people to hit the streets old fashion like and ask their friends, family’s, churches, schools, bartenders, and the rest of the 99%, to sign a petition to remove our leaders from office If they don’t act on ECONOMIC REFORM and the JOBS BILL.
****OR WHAT EVER, THAT’S JUST A SUGGESTION. ***
I think this is a valuable tool to unify the peaceful Occupy movement. It will provide structure and cause to the change people are demanding.
Give it a thought. – Moderndayslacker, San Jose
